Shure takes on new pro audio & MI distributor in Lithuania

Microphone and conferencing technology manufacturer Shure has a new pro audio and MI distributor in Lithuania — one already very familiar to customers in the region. A-T Trade Music's office in Riga, capital of the neighbouring Baltic state Latvia, is already Shure's pro audio distributor in that country, and will be additionally taking on responsibilities for MI and pro audio sales and support in Lithuania from December 15th onwards.

The change in pro audio distributor does not affect the existing distribution arrangements in Lithuania for sales and support of Shure's installed audio products, including the DIS range of conferencing and interpretation systems and Shure Microflex Wireless and Microflex Advance. These installation audio products will continue to be distributed and supported in all three Baltic states (Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia) by Audiotonas UAB, based in Lithuania's second city Kaunas.

"We have an excellent established working relationship in this region with A-T Trade Music," explains Angelika Oernfelt, Shure General Manager for the region. "The Riga office is already handling distribution to the pro audio and MI markets in Latvia, so the expansion of A-T's duties there to additionally cover Lithuania brings Shure's activities in both countries under common management, and offers useful economies of scale for both markets. In the installed audio market, we are making no changes; Audiotonas of Lithuania continue to do an excellent job in all three Baltic states."
